  1. thanx 4 reminder of path 4 .exe but where do the dictionary files reside? (I downloaded English English!) FWIW it doesn’t like being in anything other than ..Aspellbin – basically Spellchecker looks to be inopperable in Portable Notepad++

  2. Was having a difficult time getting the dictionary to install, switched to ie 11 and the dictionary is now installed

  3. Worked for me on Windows 7-64…not sure why we have to jump through hoops to get this feature to work. hopefully they will fix this issues in future releases. Notepad++ is a great simple tool.

  4. Thank you Jim for providing just a nice tutorial.
would you please guide for highlighting/underlining incorrect spelling in notepad++?

  5. Thank You for help and very informative video, I installed all suggested files on a Windows XP SP3 Pro 32 bit system and it works perfect, I just dropped the (x86) when typing in the path in the Environmental Variables and typed ;c:Program FilesAspellbin

  6. I have tried several times in the past to use/install the spell checker and have failed or given up every time. Today I tried again and after reading the almost useless instructions on the Aspell site and searching for solutions I finally found this video. This video helped me install the spell checker whereas no other help site did. THANKS
