  1. Nice review. What version of DP and HDMI are those inside the box? Are they HDMI 2.0 and DP 1.4 or not?

  2. In my experinece 4K monitors less than 32″ make little sense as the dots are too tiny. So we use a Sony 43″x800h 4K TV and a TCL 43″S405 for computer monitors. The only concern is that you need to run the laptop in closed-up mode with an external mouse and keyboard, or run the laptop way off to the side, otherwise it blocks the monitor. The 2017 TCL is an exception year for that TV and I was able to barely calibrate it to match my 2020 MacBook Pro. It has a VA panel and the corners are a little dim due to the viewing angle. The Sony is IPS, quantum dot, 500 nits, 1100:1 contrast which is excellent from a perfect viewing angle, and it also makes a fantastic TV when my wife is done programming for the day.

  3. Hello, Sir, and thank you for this review. Could you, please, tell me about pairing this 4K monitor with my LG GM77 24″ Full HD monitor? Is that possible and ok? I have an idea to buy this 4K monitor but little concerned about pairing with 1080p monitors. Thank you in advance.

  4. Hey this is a little off topic but I wonder if you could help me. I have 2 questions: How important is the CPU for 4K playback (not gaming)?
The reason I ask is because right now I have a dual core cpu with a gtx 750, and if I play any video at 1080p60 or above, it freezes a lot and is unwatchable. I thought the GPU was supposed to handle video playback but when I check the task manager the CPU goes to 99% while the GPU is hardly even being used with the video decoder staying at 0%, no matter what settings I use.

And about the second question, I’m planning to get a ryzen 5 cpu, the RX 5600 XT and this monitor but in a lot of websites I’ve been reading that AMD has problems with VP9 and other 4K related issues. Do you think I’d be able to watch 4K movies and videos without any problems using this build?

Btw I like your reviews, they’re very pleasant and informative

  5. Thanks for the great video review! I plan on purchasing the new! 32UL500-W 4K monitor and watching this has helped me get a good idea if its the right one for me! You can’t beat the price for the new 32 inch model @ $329 with HDR10 and AMD Freesync(which works with nvidia graphics cards now!!) So even locked at 60hz refresh rate, with a powerful card like a GTX 1080 ti I’m hoping it will be smooth as butter. However besides the price and size, I’m getting this monitor bc of the quality and the 95% DCI-P3 color gamut/range. True to cinematic color!

  6. Thank you sir for the great review, I am expecting to buy this monitor soon for video editing and photo editing purposes. Keep it up sir, really loved the your video.

  7. Could you please tell me what video card do you have on your pc, and how’s the video editing experience ? Thank you so much. I’m planning to get this monitor, I have Gtx 960m 2gb memory. Wondering if it will work.

  8. Hello 27 inch of display for 4k resolution Is a problemi? Gaming in qhd in this monitor Is a mistake?

  9. Thanks for the review, I needed a monitor with audio output, so that was my choice. I will use on PC and Xbox.

  10. A couple of quick informational updates since I posted this Video: 1) Although the monitor does NOT have built-in speakers, it does have a headphone jack (on the back) which the monitor provides volume control for through the ‘joy stick’ at the bottom center of the bezel (push left to lower and right to raise, with on-screen scale shown); 2) the Monitors GSYNC and FreeSync capability has been verified by one of the video viewers. Please post ay other questions below and I will endeavor to find out about or personally test.

  11. Great review!! I have the AMD RX 5500 XT OC 4GB graphic card… I am thinking of buyng this monitor..Do you think that it’s a good buy?? I will use the monitor for Autocad and not for gaming…Thank you!!

  12. Thank you. What about anti glare cover, did you test it in front of the window or sunlight? Also, is there glow effect around the edges when blank black screen?
